It's winter!

***
Yesterday we had some of the first 'real' snow! It's officially winter for me now. I don't know why, but as long as is hasn't really snowed yet and it's only freezing cold with icy storms I don't really like the winter. But once I can sit inside in our cozy little home with a mug of hot chai tea and watch the snow fall down, well, those are the moments when I love winter.

Ugh. I have a dentist's appointment today, check up. Hate hate hate it, even though it's only 5 minutes of my life (I always have to wait though, so add another 30 min. to that). Then I'm going to try to make some blueberry muffins in the microwave due to lack of an oven, and I'm going to bleach a shirt for the first time.. Oh and make some more chai tea lattés c:

And now it's my honour to introduce to you:
John Krasinski as Gilbert the squirrel!

Home Made Chai Latté

***
Today I tried out this recipe as I started to miss the Starbucks Chai Tea Lattés, and it's delicious!
Here's what you'll need:
Saucepan
2 C. Water
2 Regular Tea Bags (I prefer a regular AND a green tea one)
1/8-1/4 teaspoon EACH of ginger and cardamon
1 whole clove
1 cinnamon stick
6 Splenda packets or 1/4 cup Sugar
2 1/2 C. Milk

In your sauce pan, add water, spices, and tea bags. Bring it to a boil, and boil for 5 minutes. Then add the sugar, stirr for a bit, then add the milk and bring it to a boil again. Strain and enjoy! Put some whip cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top for an extra winterry touch!

I suddenly feel like going to Disneyland.. or any other place with an overload of colours and 'kid's' stuff.

I thought this was going to be a great Sunday. It's funny how such a small thing can completely change that.

The only thing I liked about the art school was  browsing through this art book of Cowboy Bebop the movie they had lying around. I want to leave this country now plz. But now after a long damn cold day outside I'm gonna curl up in my bed with a mug of chai tea and lots of Jeffrey Donovan/Burn Notice

It's just perfect.

Delivery Girl

***
I might've found a job! After what? 2 years without one? Now I might become a delivery girl. It's only for 2 or 3 days a week but I'm fine with that. At least I'll have the satisfactory feeling of having a job and earning my own money. And I'll get outside more. And they probably won't complain about my hair. If they do, well, then I won't have a job.

In other news: this shirt will be miiiiine soon!

Visiting another art school tomorrow and I kind of feel like this'll be the one I'll eventually end up (I already went to see it last year). No, I won't be leaving this country. I realised that it's impossible that there are only douchebags around here and I'll still have the holidays (not the money probably though but I'll worry about that later) to go to America whenever I want. I'll figure it out.

I'm hungry.

Christmas cliché

***
The only reason why I might not be excited for Christmas is because, once again, it's gonna be:
My brothers + girlfriend/wife
My sisters + boyfriend/husband
Me + my mum or dad
See my point?

...and don't even get me started about newyear's.

I cried from the first 5 seconds

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We don't celebrate it here but yeah.

Finally got to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows last night! Being a little disappointed by the previous one I went with mixed feelings, but I was glad to find out the to me real HP vibe was back. Sometimes I felt like I had already seen it, but then realised it was just exactly like I had envisioned it when reading the book.  Crazy. So, despite the lady next to me saying out loud whenever a part was 'scary' or 'going too fast' or she really had to tell the whole cinema some oh so interesting facts about owls or whatever, I'm excited about it and can't wait 'till the next part comes out!

Why does it have to have a hipster triangle in it though? Hehe just kiddin' :)
I remember when I was about.. 10? And I read the first book but didn't really get it, but then I went to the first movie with my mum and dad and got completely enchanted by it. I think I've been obsessed with Harry Potter until about my 14th I think. My room was literally stuffed with it and you could find me on mugglenet.com every day. I cut out every single article or picture I found in papers or magazines, of which I think I still got the scrapbook upstairs in a box somewhere. I counted down the days until the books or movies came out and always had to be present at the local premiere and even visited some locations where they filmed parts of the movies! Good times. It's sad in a way that that phase is over already too now.

Just admit that on your 11th birthday you secretly wished you'd get a letter from Hogwarts too.

Why would people even spend that much money on earrings?

Movie Night

***
Last night was movie night. It started off with me watching Kick Ass again after finally getting it on dvd and then, afterwards, randomly watching tv and coming across two really weird but quite enjoyable movies..
Idiocracy: Private Joe Bauers, the definition of "average American", is selected by the Pentagon to be the guinea pig for a top-secret hibernation program. Forgotten, he awakes 500 years in the future. He discovers a society so incredibly dumbed-down that he's easily the most intelligent person alive.
Be Kind Rewind: A man whose brain becomes magnetized unintentionally destroys every tape in his friend's video store. In order to satisfy the store's most loyal renter, an aging woman with signs of dementia, the two men set out to remake the lost films.
The first one had Maya Rudolph in it, the second one Jack Black. Which was my excuse for watching both of them. Tonight there are more interesting ones coming up! I feel like such a movie geek..

Now I'm going to spray paint the awesome frame I got for my favorite picture of me as a kid ever. It includes a watergun.

Pearl River Mart

***

One of my favorite shops ever... Pearl River Mart @ New York City

A couple of days before I had to go back home I was staying in New York and randomly discovered this precious shop in SoHo! It's a huge store stocked with lots and lots of Chinese & Japanese products. I think I squeeled of joy like.. 20 times when I was in there and couldn't help going back there one more time before I left (stocking up on lots of Japanese candy! Their wrappers are the best). Isn't that maneki neko the cutest btw? I wish they had it when I was there.. Well maybe they did but I just didn't notice it while walking through the shop a hundred times.

Away I go

***
My dvd arrived today!

 Allll evening.

Sometimes I kind of feel like my life is like Burt's and Verona's right now. Not in the 'having a baby' way, but in the 'finding my place' way. I'm done with where I am right now and basically everything is telling me that I have to move. Somewhere else. Some place 'new'. But by which people do I want to be surrounded? What city am I gonna live? What country even. I think secretly most people already kind of have in mind what I'm going to do and it pisses me off. They don't know what I want, at all. Nor do I. But everyone just keeps asking 'So what are you up to now' and I'm like 'why the hell should I be up to anything at all!?' Well, I don't say that but you get what I mean. Or don't. The Office is on now. Byez :)

Random thought

***
It sounds really weird to say I'm 'European'. It doesn't really make sense. Europe has a ton of different countries and they're all really different from one another so being 'European' kind of makes it sound like you're all these completely different countries in one. STRANGE.

art school crap.

***
I haven't told anyone yet but I'm secretly trying to figure out how I could get into the MICA at Baltimore. Everyone is expecting me to go to the art school in the city where I'm originally from, but the thing is, I can't envision myself there and when that's the case it's usually the wrong decision. I just don't want to tell anyone yet because I'm sure everyone will say that it's too far away and that I'll go there because of the wrong reasons. Of course it'll be much of a hassle to get my ass back to Baltimore, but I'm going to have to move out anyway so why not add a couple more miles to it and do it right? And yes, it'll be scary but that's what it's going to be anyway.

I just miss the place. And never did I miss anything about this country when I was away. I'm still kind of lost on the subject but I am positive that if I'd just be honest to myself and others for once that I'd say that I don't feel right here at all.

What time is it?

***
I miss being able to watch Cartoon Network. All day. Oh those good two days in America.. Even the shows I didn't know were pretty cool. Like Adventure Time or Regular Show. It's more fun than the crap on here at Nickelodeon anyway (besides Fairly Odd Parents). After all those years I still remembered all the shows of Ed, Edd and Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog... Why the hell isn't it on tv here anymore? I miss.

Hooray! Today my very first spray paint cans arrived!
I can't wait to try it out tomorrow. I've been wanting to try to work with spray paint for ages and now I finaly took the time to get some cans. Meanwhile, I've been practising my portrait skills as I haven't drawn any since ages.. This was my first try. I still freaking hate it
I know. Awkward right? Now I'm working on a new one though which is turning out a little bit better in my opinion..
I'll keep practising until I'm able to draw him in a flattering way.
