Rabbit on the Moon

***
Once upon a time there was a young rabbit who wished to ride the moon. Only the crane was willing to take him. The trip stretched the crane’s legs as the heavy rabbit held them tightly, leaving them elongated as crane's legs are now. When they reached the moon, the rabbit touched the crane's head with a bleeding paw, leaving the red mark cranes wear to this day. According to the legend, the rabbit still rides the moon to this day.

Can you believe this is the most expensive paintbrush I've ever bought? It'll make detailing so much easier though. Fuzzy cheap chipping paint brushes just aren't the best thing to work with. I feel like a wizard when using this one.

On my way to the art supply shop I saw the cutest corgi pup ever. I'd never seen one in real life before! I just suddenly stopped, stared for a whole minute barely able to believe what was sitting there all cute and fluffy a few feet away from me, until the lady noticed and I got to pet it (and possibly could've picked it up and run of with it and make it mine forever). There's no going back now, I want one.

But for now, it's back to work. I'm working on something inspired by Koala Cookies and rainbow eucalyptus. I finished another painting yesterday, but more about that later!
I also made a pen cup out of the Lychee drink can I got earlier (the drink itself wasn't too yummy, but I still loved the can). Yes I cut myself once while making it, but I think the edges are dull enough now. RECYCLING FTW.

Artist Feature: Koralie

***
Artist Feature
Koralie
I've enjoyed Koralie's work for quite some time, but it's only been since a few weeks I can't stop looking at her work at least a couple of times every week. Especially after I stumbled across this video I've fallen in love all over again:
Her website is also well worth to check out. It has 4 themes (out of which I still can't pick a favorite!) and sometimes I just let the music play over and over again because I somehow find it very pleasant to have as background music while I'm painting or drawing. And of course the awesome art on the website itself is inspiring too c:

Sketches made in Deviantart Muro :) I forgot how much I like to work with it. Still not a big fan of digital art making though. It just doesn't do it for me. But I couldn't find my eraser and was too lazy to go upstairs and get another one so once again the computer was the answer to all my problems.

I want to make those bunny cake pops! Or just any cake pops.

I got a letter from art school again about the introduction day, Apparently we're gonna have to do a group assignment and have a presentation about it. Two things I'm horrible at. Oh shit. Why do all those letters always leave me feeling sick?

The past 2 days the weather was total shit once again.I usually don't mind weather like this in the fall, but it's summer right now and I think we deserve all the sun we can get when it's the season for it.. Am I really starting to talk about the weather here? YES. Because it sucks so much.

But I went shopping yesterday. Survival shopping. I think my country soon will have hurricane season too (like, right now) I could hardly move forward. Now I'm not really the kind of person who likes to show off every single little thing they buy, but I got quite some awesome stuff and I'm bored so I wanna share c: I think it's pretty awesome that everything I got was up for sale.

Marie stickers, awesome looking drinks I have yet to try, delicious new tea & Hello Kitty socks
My Little Pony deco tape, Hello Kitty mug and Koala Cookies!
Not pictured is the dvd of Wristcutters <3 I literally squeeled when I saw it up for sale! I also found these really cute lilac angel cat sweatpants, but when I went to ask someone about how much it was (it didn't have a tag) in a matter of seconds this woman snatched it away from me and seriously RAN to the checkout with it (!!!!).

I also had way too much coconut pudding with mango syrup. And I read a lot again in Everything is Illuminated. It's so hilarious. People kept throwing me weird looks when I giggled again and again. Look, I'm sorry about laughing in public.

Fox Spirits (Kitsune in Japanese) are believed to be intelligent beings that possess magical abilities that increase with their age and wisdom. The more tails a kitsune has (they may have as many as nine) the older, wiser and more powerful it is.

When I was a little girl I collected stickers. In an almost obsessive way. I organized them all very neatly in folders, all sorted by theme. Food, cats, easter, powerpuff girls, diamonds... Always keeping them on the sheet just in case I might want to use them some day, which rarely happened. I recently caught myself buying stickers again for no apparent reason. Just because they're pretty.
Somehow it makes me so happy to catch up on this hobby again! Gotta love stickers. I like to see them as cheap picture books. Unfortunately one sticker folder has been devoured by all the junk in the attic. It's become a pointless search mission.
It's not like I buy every single sticker sheet I see. Just the ones that appeal to me. The ones I can look at over and over again. I also get some from others every once in a while, which of course is awesome x 10000.
Does anyone else collect them? Or collected them in the past? I just love browsing through other people's collections!

Tropical Spaghetti

 ***
Recipe for Tropical Spaghetti!
Sad mango is sad.

When you think of spaghetti mango probably isn't the next thing that comes to mind, but trust me this is actually pretty good! Especially after a warm summer's day. I enjoy coming up with new recipes when I'm too lazy to go for groceries and I haven't got much to cook with either.

What you need for one serving is:
- about half a chicken breast
- one serving of spaghetti
- about 1/3 to 1/2 a mango, cut into pieces
- some cooking cream or cream cheese
- about a teaspoon of green pesto
- some honey
(I just did everything to my own taste so I don't exactly remember how much you need of everything, but I don't believe in exact measuring when it comes to cooking anyway)

Prepare the spaghetti in some salted water. Spice up the chickenbreast a bit with some salt and pepper and bake it in some oil. While doing so, mix the cream cheese/cooking cream (about a tablespoon), pesto and honey together. Drain the spaghetti, add the chicken, pesto/honey/cream mixture and the mango and heat it again for a bit. I think some chopped roasted cashew nuts or grated (goat)cheese would go nicely with it too, but try whatever you please!

Enjoy!

Room Inspiration

***
Since I'll be moving to my very first own place soon I reckoned it's time for some...
Room inspiration!
I'm digging that cute little table. I'm thinking of just getting one big table to both work and eat on.
But when I don't feel like cleaning it up something like this would be perfect. <3
I'm not a big Hannah Beth fan, but her apartment looks pretty awesome.

I can haz this chair plz?

I'm thinking light colors like pink and white with a 'retro'/'vintage' edge. I really like the idea of painting 'old' furniture to still have a classic look but with a new bright coating. My brother said he's got plenty of stuff lying around he needs to get rid of so who knows! Though I'm also kind of excited to go to thrift stores and see if they got any treasures lying/standing/hanging around. I honestly suck at home decorating though, so it probably won't turn out as spectacular as I envision it.

But screw all that. Can I just live here instead?

Yesterday we finally had a sunny day again, which means: ICE CREAM.
I had Bubblegum and Bounty (coconut/chocolate) ice cream and it was so good. I hadn't been to this ice cream parlor for ages while they have some of my favorite flavors, but I had to visit this store to check if they had this Hello Kitty bedset (and they did!!) so I had a perfect excuse to drop by. And have sweet sweet dreams afterwards.

I also went hunting in the garden for little creatures and pretty flowers again

This silly butterfly just sat and chilled on our fake plastic roses and didn't mind me taking a whole load of pictures.
Sometimes my camera's focus is a little... off. But pretty cool at the same time.

And today it's grey again, but at least I got free candy in the mail so it's all good! Nomnom!
