Melon/chicken salad this is so delicious! I think I'm gonna post the recipe on here soon ♥ Postcard from Japan Postcrossing postcards from Japan are always my favorite! Arent those stamps the cutest? ♥ My new black bow got this at Claire's. I realized I needed more big bows in my life (and my hair) ♥ Matcha Latte's OMG this has to be my newest obsession! I had one with soy milk at Bagels and Beans the other day and as soon as I had my first sip I was in love! Still on the hunt for matcha powder.. ♥ My new Hunger Games Pin I saw this at Claire's too the other day and I couldn't resist.. I felt like such a fan girl but hey, at least I didn't get the Peeta Pillow Throw or the fleece blanket (although I did feel tempted...) ♥ Drawing in my new sketchbook I'm absolutely in love with my new Moleskine sketchbook! The paper is nice and yellowish and it feels so luxurious. I feel like hugging it all day long ♥ Cute present from Alette she got this for me on vacation because it reminded her of me! Isn't that sweet!?

A day at De Efteling

On Monday, after ten years, I finally went to the themepark again I LOVED as a kid: De Efteling

I'm not a themepark person, but this one has something special. There is so much attention for detail and it isn't just some place where they've cramped a couple of crazy rides on a piece of land and put a couple of gigantic overpriced foodcourts in between. Overall this is a dreamy place where 'fairytales exist'.

For example I LOVED how they put paper lanterns up in some of the trees!

And they have the most gorgeous colored flowers everywhere...

And lets not forget about the doves! Omg, I completely forgot about those! Among the pretty white doves they actually have some blue and pink (and maybe some other colored) ones flying around too!

While everyone was off going on all the rollercoasters and other nauseating rides I went to my favorite part of the park with my mom and little niece: the fairytale forest! They even added some new fairytales in those ten years like Cinderella and The Little Match Girl. They used these kind of hologram effects with some of them which looked so awesome!

This tree was new for me too. It tells fairytales and it actually looks so real! The attention to detail was simply amazing. (you can see a video of it moving here!)

I also got to visit my future home again...

And one of my favorites as a kid: the little red shoes! After the story these actually start dancing around. I could look at it for hours (well... I still can.)

Of course I also went on my all-time forever favorite ride: Droomvlucht ('dreamflight') in which you basically ride through a magical fairy land with dreamy music playing and the elf king waving at you... Oh and at the end you glide through troll land!

At the end of the day we had pancakes at this amazing new pancake restaurant! Not only the pancakes were amazing, but the interior especially! For some reason it reminded me a bit of Harry Potter...

All in all it was a good day. Extremely tiring though (we camped the night before x_x) and I'm happy to be back home. Today I picked up my timetable for school and next week classes start! I'm feeling like a big ball of anxiety/excitement-ish mess.

*Asian supermarket haul!*

Being back home means: Asian supermarket haul! So, what did I get? 

♥ One thing I'm really excited about; Soy Beans! I had been craving these for ages and now I was finally able to get them again.

♥ Bubble tea! Took a different brand this time to see if there's a difference in taste

♥ 'real' Japanese green tea. I found this tea not only tastes better than our 'western world' variant, but that it also works better if I want to create tea stains for my art!

♥ Strawberry Yan Yan. Just because.

♥ a little My Melody case with marshmallows in it!

♥ White Rabbit candy, because someone recommended it to me

♥ Some rice spices mix. Mainly because I just really liked the package. c:

Omnomnom I can't wait to munch on those soy beans tonight!

Pillows, Patterns and Purple cats.

My dad is an interior design enthusiast, or to be more exact, an interior design SHOP enthusiast! You wouldn't be able to tell from his living room though (except for maybe our crazy yellow closet and remarkable chairs), but with those crazy prices going on you can't really expect him to be swimming around in designer furniture and other homewares. Anyway, he's kind of dragging me along with him! When I recently saw the Depot Design interior shop I KNEW we were going to have to pay a visit to it together.

It was like going to a museum! So much prettiness and inspiration!

I loved all the random pillows they had lying around everywhere.

Sayonara Summer

My summer has almost come to an end! The last two months flew by. Today I'll be going back to my own little place and I'm very happy to. One thing I've realized this summer is that I'm not supposed to be living with my mom or dad anymore. Even though I love them very much, it's no good for me anymore being there for a long time.

Anyway! I've decided to put all the drawings and such I made this summer together in a nice folder (since they're all loose papers -.-) I'm proud of the fact I actually managed to fill up the whole thing (40 pages)!
