Proud Daydreamer at Society6!

Just a little post to let you guys know I have just opened up a shop at Society6! Check it out right here! Even though I am planning on eventually opening up an Etsy or something of the like, Society6 seemed like a nice little place to get started! And it's neat you get to see your designs on pillows, phone cases, cards etc., really gives me a lot of ideas and inspiration for the future n.n

One new year's resolution is definitely going to be: work on my webshop! I think it's going to be a summer project, when I have lots of time to work on designs and also take my time for all the practical stuff. But for now, this is a nice little side thing :)

OMG! I want a cat couch! I dont know what this gif is from, but I can already tell it's from the best thing ever. Those gorgeous sparkly shoes are from Asos btw. I am so smitten with them but I am also so incredibly broke. I'm gonna be a responsible grown up and document all my spendings, buuuut I won't bore you with that any longer. n.n

And look at this cute kitty I found in the mail yesterday!! Aaahh I wish I had frames like that! Thank you Michael :D Mail like this is the best.

Sunday Swift and Strawberries!

Since I'm feeling more inspired than usual this weekend, here is more artsy stuff n.n

For drawing class we have an '100 portraits' project going on, which means I've got to draw at least 20 portraits every week. I'm keeping up good so far, and it's a great practice! I've even worked on a more detailed portrait of Taylor Swift. It's been ages... I used to draw portraits all the time in high school. It was good to find out I hadn't completely lost my realistic drawing skills.

I starting regretting having picked out Taylor when I started on her hair. I should've gone for a bald person... Lots of tea in kitty cups and vanilla scented candles on pretty heart shaped trays were used during the making of this portrait ♥

I also made this cute little tamagotchi gif, inspired by the one I posted a couple of days ago. All the gifs I've made kinda come together in this one! SPARKLES. DONUT PLZ.

Gifs like this require lots of kawaii, sugary snacks. Omg those egg rolls with strawberry filling are HEAVEN. I still can't get over it. I ate the entire bag in two days and I have no regrets. And yes, the theme during my grocery shopping trip was pink an strawberry. I think I did a decent job sticking to the theme.

Look at that sugoi happy strawberry! I have yet to taste the lemonade, but I mainly got it for the bottle n.n It's just so cute! Happy Sunday everyone!

TGIF Art Post

I wanted to use a TGIF pun here, but I can't find a way to turn it into a good sentence. I wanted to do that because I wanted to share the gifs I've been working on for school! I've been very insecure about my work lately, and these are no exception. I'm just so intimidated by all the awesome gifs everybody else is making! I'm still such a photoshop noob. Or maybe just an art noob. Meh. I kinda like them all together though, and they match my blog!!

I call this one Bearista (maaaaaaan I'm on a roll with puns today) It's basically my ideal world with croissant trees and a kawaii bear serving me donuts (that grow on bushes!) and tea.

I have no name for this one (any ideas?) This was the last one I had to make when I had no ideas left and so I drew ice cream angels, multi-eyed mushrooms and drippy bunny ghosts. I think it's my favorite. ♥

And last but not least... wait for it... Mr. foXmas! He was a character of my fairy tale last year and this is his big come back. He's about to do something mischievous.. watch out Santa.

They're probably gonna need some last small adjusments, but other than that I think I did a pretty decent job. Now back to more procrastinating, drinking hot chocolate and looking at kitschy christmas decor.

I'm planning on doing an art post VERY SOON! I feel like I finally have some stuff I think is worthy enough to put on here n.n Just got to finish some things and put it together nicely. Now I'm off for school and then I'm off shopping for christmas cards, maybe some presents already and see if the department stores already have some of their awesome christmassy stuff out! I was browsing around the internet for 'normal' boots (since all but one pair of my shoes are Vans sneakers..) and I came across so many pretty things I decided to put together a little wishlist! I don't allow myself to buy anything anymore when it comes to clothes and the like (unless it's super duper cheap). I've got to save money for christmas shopping and future travels! But a girl can still dream..

If I ever were able to buy some boots, I still wouldn't know what to go for. There's something about me and general shoe stores that just doesn't go very well. I'm no good at buying things that 'go with everything'. But items like that are a MUST sometimes because they're so convenient! Ugh. More browsing to do.

The Sure Thing

Out of nowhere some kind of weird sickness has hit me which has kept me from going to school these past two days. I hate it, because I don't like missing out on classes. Especially with all these new assignments happening. I am unable to just do absolutely nothing without feeling like a worthless student, and I don't like that either. But you know, I had to give in and just sleep and once I was done doing that I decided to watch this movie:

The Sure Thing

I'm trying to see every single movie John Cusack has been in. I like the ones from the 80s best though (Better of Dead, Say Anything, Sixteen Candles). I had yet to watch 'The Sure Thing' because honestly, the poster and title kind of put me off.

But I knew I'd have to watch it eventually since it includes a roadtrip AND a really cute 19 year old John Cusack. So I did watch it. And it was awesome. I still can't get over the greatness of this scene.

I feel like now was the perfect time to watch it, too, because I'm starting to get stuck in this rut of 'appropiateness' again and it's killing me. I want to be more spontaneous! I want to go on crazy roadtrips! I've been browsing plane tickets for months now, but still havent had the guts to just book a damn ticket and go somewhere. Okay anyway, one more scene I want to share and then just go watch it yourself!

Talking about babynames.. I became an auntie again! Welcome Julia :) I can't wait to see you!

Sunday Sweethearts

Sunday Sweethearts...

Last Friday we actually had a perfect fall day going on! Perfect timing since I had planned to visit my brother that day and go to the woods. It's nice to see my baby nephew more often now, even though he wasn't really feeling like going to the woods that day. ANYHOW: The trees were so magical!

Glasses Girl!

I love my glasses. Trust me though, this wasn't always the case. I thought my life had basically come to an end when I found out I needed glasses. I was about 10/11 years old and was constantly squinting my eyes in class. I had no idea it wasn't meant to be that hard to read what was on the board! But my teacher told me soon enough and yes, it turned out my eyesight was horrible.

But since I didn't want glasses, I got the tiniest, thinnest, most invisible (and actually, most ridiculous and geeky) pair of frames I could find. Nobody even noticed I was wearing them. But eventually I got more daring and later I got red frames, blue frames and eventually black until the ones I have now.

I'm bored of my current ones though. I decided on them way too quickly back then and they never quite fit right and still make me dizzy sometimes. Believe it or not but up until now I never realized I could find the greatest frames online! Aaahh! These are some of my favorites...

I'm really attracted to cat eye/butterfly frames right now, if you couldn't tell already. And I love those little hearts on the sides! For now I'll just be daydreaming about them though since I've gotta save up money for Christmas and such.
