Hello there! So you want to know more about me? Well let's jump right into it...
Also check out my post '45 things you (probably) don't know about me'
Thank you so much for reading this and making it all the way to the end! I hope you'll love my blog just as much as I love working on it.
My name is Sarah and I'm a twenty something pink haired lady. On my blog I share anything that inspires me in life. If you love vintage clothing and hair, art, books, recipes, diy's and need a daily dose of colour and pretty pictures you will feel right at home here. My goal is to share positivity, gratitude and inspiration and to motivate ladies of all shapes, sizes and ages to chase this in their every day life as well.
This blog was initially created to keep track of my inspiration and share my art work with the rest of the world. I kept at it and have been working hard to continously add quality to every next post. I have been creating things ever since I was a little girl. I would make magazines for friends, or come up with stories and turn them into books (complete with illustrations) for my nieces and nephews. I have also been crafting and baking with my mom for as long as I can remember. With my blog I can continue doing this and share it with everyone which is super exciting.
Once I started growing up my interests started to broaden. My old goth self started to break out of her shell and I got interested in the rockabillly & pinup culture. This was only a few years ago and I'm still practising with hair and makeup and adding staples to my closet, but I'm sharing it all on my blog! I even got interested in exercise and now do yoga and pilates on a daily basis. It has changed my life in such a significantly positive way and I can't imagine life without it anymore. Every once in a while I will share my tips and experiences on aquiring a healthy mind, body and soul. I'm a spiritual person with her feet on the ground and sometimes her head in the clouds.
I'm also a huge book nerd. I love collecting books, I love surrounding myself with books and of course I love reading books! Ever since I was able to read I've had a book in my hands. Especially when Harry Potter came out I would spend countless nights staying up reading. Every once in a while I like to share book reviews of books I've recently read. I also love going to concerts, wordgames, traveling and playing Lego videogames with my boyfriend.
People who inspire me are mainly my family: mom, dad my siblings.. We all have our very own, personal ways of living our lifes and respect and support that. Other people who inspire me are Cherry Dollface, Dita von Teese, Emma Watson and so many more strong, amazing ladies out there. I guess I somewhat am a feminist. I believe in women supporting and helping each other in every aspect of life. Women and femininity are also an often recurring theme in my drawings (though maybe it's because I'm no good at drawing guys hehe..)
I have been a freelance illustrator for about 2+ years now. I work on all kinds of projects like packaging design, children's books, product design and promotional work. You can find a selection of my work in my online portfolio. I also started my own little shop on Redbubble in 2015 where I regularly upload new work which is available on a big assortment of products.
The blog is updated about 1 to 2 times a week. I love meeting new people and talk about random stuff! So please don't hesitate to contact me and ask me anything or just talk :)
