Amsterdam Adventures

Hello there,
yesterday I returned from a little trip to Amsterdam! I just had to get away and distract myself for a couple of days and I still wanted to explore Amsterdam a little bit more.
One of the things I was most excited about was the hotel I was going to be staying: De Filosoof. For people who've read John Green's The Fault in Our Stars this must sounds familair! At first we got a room somewhere in a shady basement OPPOSITE the hotel. I was so bummed out! But then we were like 'Hey! We're paying good money for this so we want to be happy with our room!' Then it all turned out the be one big misunderstanding and we got the Cloud Room in the actual hotel.
The hotel and the lobby. Isn't that book table the best?
Looking at clouds while lying in bed.
Random hidden pipe painted on the wall and a good piece of advice.
The first evening we had dinner at a super cosy Ethiopian restaurant. I loved how they served the tea on this little tray on which they even lit some incense. Somehow it made the tea taste a hundred times better.

The next morning we had breakfast at this cute little, underground bakery.
Once I finished my delicious everything bagel, the lady working there just got some oatmeal raisin cookies from the oven. I COULDN'T RESIST. It was so good (and BIG!).
Freshly baked goodness.
A shot of the interior with the pretty lamp.
We walked A LOT. I literally couldn't walk anymore by the end of the second day. For some reason it feels like ever since I started working out regularly, my endurance only got worse. Why does everything always work in the opposite way for me?
I just like mirror shots.
All the walking paid off though and I got some great new clothes, two new books, another pair of Katy Perry lashes and some stationary! And we tried plenty of yummy food. I had the best strawberry cheesecake and banana gelato and some delicious New York style cheesecake (I like cheesecake okay?)
New River Island dress! I love it so much. The back is longer so it's nice and flowy.
For some reason I feel like listening to Alkaline Trio and writing dark poetry by candle light when wearing it. I love it.

I seem to have a thing for special book sides...

Time to rest my legs and draw and read for a bit. Have a great weekend!
