Baby, it's cold outside.

Just when I decided to get back into the habit of taking photo's on a daily basis, my camera decides to die on me. I've had it for 4 years now though so it's not much of a surprise.. it has survived many vacations and seen so many things. I've been lusting over the newer version in pink for a while now, so now that's another thing to add to my list of things to save up for :) luckily until then, I still have my phone to take pictures with!

This morning I woke up to find a box filled with these pretty donuts! Even though I don't necessarily enjoy eating donuts, just the look of them makes me happy! Especially ones with rainbow sprinkles n.n

A few days earlier I woke to find something else that made me smile! My dear friend Alexandra from Spain sent me this! My first fun mail in Canada!

Zhe boyfriend got me these pretty new earrings c: pink and sparkly.. what more could I ask for?

My new favorite place to get tea is this place called Teavana. We recently got an amazing one called Sakura Allure (even the name alone is amazing). It's flowery green tea and there are actual little flower buds in there. It's really sweet, almost candy like and smells amazing! The other one is plain loose green tea, which will always be my go to tea.

After 2+ weeks I figured it was about time to clean up my Valentine's Day bouquet. I never like getting rid of flowers because then it's so empty again :( still can't bring myself to throw away these pretty dried roses haha.

Today I did some cleaning, pilates and tea drinking and in a bit we're probably going to browse the bookstore and get some food! Sounds like a good start of the week to me. Hope your week is starting off good as well!

Donuts on my head.

Remember my character Tina Bearista? Well, our teacher decided to take the assignment to the next level. We had to take a picture of ourselves as our character! So I had a little photoshoot with myself and had a lot of fun with it (even though I was SO done with this character since it didn't get too much positive feedback). I mean, I got to buy cute decorated donuts and even wear one as a hat! Which resulted in donut frosting in my hair hair (which might sound appealing, but seriously, just don't.)

This is the picture I'll go with, because it's in one of the 'golden poses' the assignment asks for. Don't ask why I put an extra donut in my lap.

Donut Queen

Ok so I don't know where these pictures are from, maybe from some kind of Dunkin Donuts beauty pageant? Anyway, what I DO know, is that these pictures of so called 'Donut Queens' are pretty damn awesome.

Artsy Fartsy Friday

A little art update! It feels good after more than a week of being unproductive and unmotivated to kinda get back into the swing of things. Long vacations are no good for me. I need the school days to get forced into going somewhere and to work (and afterwards feeling accomplished and awesome!).

I haven't been feeling too confident about the work I've been making lately, hence me hardly sharing anything anymore. But I want to make it a habit to post something art related at least once a week. Anyway, back to teh artsies. We've been focussing on character design a lot lately, at which I'm still not amazing, but working on it... I introduce to you Tina Bearista. The name just came to me while working on her. Like she told me 'Hiiii I'm Tina!' So yeah, there you go.

We also had to make a scale model of our character. Claying big things is still something I want to get so much better at. Still needs some touch ups, but I think her apron turned out pretty cute!

Weeeeeee!

These are some little tid bits from my sketchbook when I didn't feel like working on Tina and started procrastinating. Lots of pink and mustard! Lots of cutting in food magazines and the H&M catalogue n.n

Donut December!

Happy December everyone! Finally I could open the first door on my advent calender c: I ate a christmas tree today! Today's been a good and productive day filled with designing donut loving bearistas and making said donuts. I am now obsessed with making fake donuts.

Aren't those donuts the greatest thing ever? I highly recommend making them yourself too! Go check out the tutorial here Especially the icing part is super fun. I was tempted to lick it so many times, but luckily the chemical smell kept me from doing so. Satisfying my sweet tooth in a very interesting way. I also made earrings out of some mini donuts I made! I can't wait to wear them n.n
