Current Obsession: Making Badges!

When I saw this diy on Rookie on how to make your own awesome decoupage badges, I knew it was the thing for me! But impatience was the problem here. I couldn't find decoupage shapes to my liking anywhere and was too impatient to order them. BUT, a couple of days ago I found some really good and perfect decoupage hearts at a local store for cheap and brought two bags of them home with me right away n.n I'm now hooked on turning these little wooden hearts into awesome badges. The possibilities are endless!
I like my craft projects easyinexpensive and quick. I'm honestly a very impatient person and once a project (or anything really, a person, a pizza..) takes too long I either loose interest or throw a tantrum (or both). I know that patience can pay off in the end, but it's just not for me.
The pictures I used where either cut from magazines or from my clippings folder, but you can honestly print out anything and everything you want and put it on there. Which is exactly what I'm planning to do next. The only thing I couldn't find anywhere where the flat pinbacks, so I had to order those online.. ugh! But thankfully the company I ordered them was super fast and I could glue them to my first badge of hearts the next day!

My favorites right now are the three eyed cat (from a painting by Marion Peck) and the one with John Cusack and Ione Skye in Say Anything

Badges action shot!
I figured these would make really cute presents too, so I'm planning on making some special ones for friends! If you're bored, go make some too c: maybe we can do a swap!

DIY Galore!

Lately I've been on a crafting roll. I found I get so much more satisfaction out of making and then wearing my own jewellery/accessories rather than just buying it in a store. It's also just a really nice break from the continuous school work. It really relaxes me, and you get something awesome out of it at the end! (if all goes right..)

These are a couple of things I've made last weekend:
Big pink lolita headbow!

Sparkly donut charm
Obviously, it's all very lolita-ish! Another great break from work for me these days is watching videos of lolita girls on youtube, talking about their outfits, make-up, toy collections or con adventures. It makes me so happy and it's so inspiring! Anyway, here's a little list of diy lolita tutorials, and I'm planning on doing all of them!

Kayzeekay has an awesome blog with some super cute tutorials!
I definitely want to try these two.

I used this Lolita Bow Tutorial for the one I made, and I definitely want to make many more now! It's super easy and looks super cute!

Sweetorials on Youtube also has some of the greatest tutorials!

Do you feel like crafting something cute now too?
I sure hope so! Have fun c:

Cupcakes and Khaki Scouts

Hello cutiepies!
Since I sent some postcards via Postcrossing again, I've found at least one postcard in the mail every day lately! It's so much fun! The one I got today took the cake though (literally!). It came from Taiwan so that wasn't much of a surprise n.n (all my favorite Postcrossing cards came from Taiwan..)
Cuppycakes!
Cuteness overload!
And talking about mail. Cassey from Blogilates posted a picture on her Instagram of all the mail she got in her P.O. Box and I'm so excited to see the postcard I sent in the pile (and the Valentine's Card of which you can only see the stamp)
Can you spot my card!? Source: Blogilates
Besides sending lots of mail, I've just been working on school and compulsively listening to the Moonrise Kingdom soundtrack. This inspired me to make a little Khaki Scout Badge when I had to take a break from homework

'...and cheerfully together we can tidy up the place!'

In my last post I was talking about organizing right? Well, I went CRAZY today. I fillled a grand total of 3 huge garbage bags with useless clutter. I got a bunch of new boxes and the like and oh man, it was SO much more work than I had anticipated. I had the most fun going through all the 'craft supplies' I've been hoarding over the years and felt like sharing some pretty pictures of it with you guys. I have a weakness for pictures of collections and/or neatly organized items. (like so many others I believe)

Finally found a neat way to organize my deco/washi tape! I think I enjoy looking at these more than actually using them.
Sparkles and shells! A mermaid's dream.
And another box of deco goodness!
You can never have too much glitter. NEVER.
Look how organized I am! Tis crazy I tell you!
It was a lot of work, but soooo worth it. I'm so happy that almost everything has its own place now and I don't have to go through a pile of stuff before finding (or actually.. not finding) that one thing I was looking for.
