Why why why why whyyyy has my mood been so horrible for the past few days/weeks...?
I´m not depressed or anything, but it´s like this evil dark beast that´s usually just lurking somewhere deep below the surface has decided to come out and follow me around everywhere. I´ve tried so many things...

I´ve tried cleaning and organizing my room, which made me feel good for about an hour but then it quickly ebbed away again. Gotta love my new pink sparkly jewellery box and heart shaped ´earring holder´ though c:
As a poor art student you'´ll find that a chair can be so much more than just a chair!
Oooooh sparkly!

Another exciting thing happened this week: I ate grasshoppers and mealworms!
Now honestly, I have been terrified and grossed out by mealworms ever since I wanted to have oatmeal for breakfast a couple of years ago, but instead of oatmeal I ended up with a bowl of mealworms...

But we had a ´blind fold food tasting´ and so I had no idea that the tasty granola bar I was eating turned out to be containing mealworms! Anyway.. some pictures (I stole from someone else who was there too)

The grasshoppers actually tasted really good! I´m 100% prepared for a future filled with lots of little insects on my plate.

Another thing I´d like to share with you guys today is this anatomical heart I crocheted today! I had to improvise the entire thing, but I think it turned out pretty good. I´m planning on doing more similar themed things.

That´s about it. I think my laptop is really badly affected with viruses and that most of my accounts continually get hacked (despite me frequently changing passwords etc.). I don´t know why I´m telling you this. It´s more of a personal reminder: take care of your laptop and log-out every single time!

Fuzziness and foxes.

***
It's about time for a little update to possibly inform my few sweet little readers why I'm neglecting my blog a little bit. I'm already forced by school to stare at any kind of screen way too much, so when I do have some off time I'd rather trim plants in the garden or read Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them than stare at a screen some more. Makes sense right?

A little art update... right now one of my assignments regards a fairy tale. I got one about a Wolf and a Fox. How appropiate. It was meant to be.

My moodboard. I'm not too crazy about it, but it'll do for now. It has a cute fox.
A little experiment. I like the typography and washi tape
and that's where my liking towards it kind of ends.

And finally, this is a little animation I made for class. We had to draw one of our classmates as a pet/animal and animate it. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

As you might've noticed I'm kind of in a sarcastic, stuck but yet alright kind of mood. Oh you didn't notice that? Well that's how it is. But I'm glad next week school will be a little different with a project going on and I can hopefully focus on something else I love (food and cooking! I totally just typed cookies instead of cooking.)

For now I'll enjoy my sunny weekend at home to the fullest filled with colorful spring plants, yarn shopping, men with sigars, delicious onion quiche, big bees and fuzzy feelings,

Saturday's Inspiration...

I feel like a terrible art block is taunting me. Or lets call it a drawing block. I can't draw and I don't want to draw. All I want to do is cut out stuff from magazines and stick it in with cute deco tape. I'm also way too occupied with picking out herbs for my balcony and smelling vanilla essence.

Food + Art!

***

Food and art has to be one of the greatest combinations ever, so I'm gonna share an awesome artist with you and a super yummy (and naturally healthy!) recipe. Omnomnom!

Lets start with the food!
Lentil curry with chicken and coconut milk
Ingredients:
1 cup of lentils, drained
About a cup of coconut milk
half an onion, in half rings
150 gr of chickenbreast
green curry paste (about two tablespoons)
3 cups/ 300 gr. of fresh spinach

How to prepare it:
1. Put the lentils and coconut milk in a pan and bring it to a boil
2. heat some oil in a skillet and bake onions for about 3 min. then add chicken, let it cook again for about 3 minutes
3. add green curry paste, lentils and coconut and bring to a boil
4. add spinach

Now divide it over two bowls and you're done! This recipe will serve two and is delicious with some naan bread. Enjoy c:
Noashi is a so called 'sunae' artist. She makes the most beautiful art with shiny, colorful sand! Feast your eyes on these delicious works. I'd love to try something similar sometime!

Sorry about the lack of personal art updates, I'm still not completely back into it.. Soon though.. soon.

Let Them Eat Cake.

Right now I have only one big question: 'Why didn't I watch Marie Antoinette before!?'. Long lacy dresses, gorgeous shoes, stunning interiors and candy colored deliciousness! I was in awe the entire film. I had seen tons of pictures floating around on the internet of it, but never got around to watching it up until now...
I now want to continue decorating my room with florals and pink, own lots of frilly gorgeous skirts and dresses, try on lots of pretty shoes and have a French pattiserie right around the corner.

How to put up a chandelier

***
How to put up a chandelier
You'll need:
- the prettiest chandelier ever (preferably in lilac)
- a dad who thinks he's an electrician
- a backup electrician who works on Sunday evenings
- one lightbulb
- candles
- a lighter that actually works
- a bathroom that has power at all times in case your mobile phone is ALWAYS out of battery

So let's get started...
First, let your dad cut and pull out all the electrical wires coming out of the ceiling until it causes an electrical breakdown. Get the candles and light them with a lighter that works. Next, go to the bathroom to provide your phone with power and call an electrician who's willing to come help you out on a Sunday evening. Let him fix the power and install the chandelier. Use the single lightbulb to find out how awesome your chandlier looks in your room, even though it's way too bright and you actually need 7 more lightbulbs.

And now behold: the prettiest chandelier!
This tutorial is in no way recommended for anyone else but crazy people who don't value their time.
