Things that will always inspire me: tea, rainbow hair, food, pink and pin ups. Thank heavens for Pinterest where there's a huge never ending collection of eyecandy. I love browsing through my recent likes and pins for inspiration. And yes, most of them have something to do with the main inspirations I just mentioned! The other day I was thinking how cool it would be to be able to change up the frames of your glasses without having to get a new pair. Then I came across the picture above. How awesome are those interchangeable cateye frames?? And see that doilie in the tea cup? It's actually made of sugar. So cute! I also have some serious hair envy thanks to those ladies, and would die to have an amazing pink tea pot and couch like that.

Ever since I started living in Canada with my boyfriend, I feel like I really started to live my life. My evenings and weekends aren't spend sulking around in my room anymore. These days we go out and meet up with friends, go to concerts, have a bbq, have spontaneous soccer games or go and get ice cream! It's an amazing change which also really helped me to challenge and (mostly) overcome my anxiety issues, but it's not as good for my blog! I guess right now I just put my energy in so many other things that there's hardly any left for the internets D: I guess it's a good thing that I'm not a huge online personality so I won't get hate mail about being absent lately. Hopefully I can get my camera fixed/get a new one veryvery soon, since taking pictures always inspired me for blogposts. My phone camera just doesn't do it for me for some reason.. Anyway, I'm sure I'll get back into the swing of things sometime soon!

I hope everyone is doing great and is excited that the sun is finally coming out more!! Or if you are in Australia, that it's cooling down a little bit? Now get out and enjoy life and keep looking at all the beautiful things surrounding you n.n

My Spring To-Do List!

We've had two sunny, above zero degrees celcius days in a row! Hooray! It instantly put me in an even better mood and motivates me to do things. So I hereby present you...

My spring to-do-list:

Things I want to do: start doing yoga, eat lots of fruit, buy/grow spring flowers, find the perfect spring tea, go out for drinks and/or ice cream and hang out outside, swing on a swing, go for walks (preferably hand in hand :) ), start running again, practice pin-up style hair updo's for the opcoming hot weather, clean out my bookmarks/back-up computer/etc.

My wishlist: a cute off the shoulder dress, hair flowers, a (pink) camera, lipstick and a nice new perfume that's perfect for warmer weather (any recommendations?)

Clothes/accessories I can't wait to dig out of my closet again: my light leopard print coat, high waisted jean shorts, magenta ballet flats, pink heart shaped sunnies, my hot pink Hello Kitty Loungefly purse, knee high socks (without tights underneath, finally!) 

Books I want to read: The Art of the Teese by Dita von Teese and anything else that is easy to read. Do you know any books I MUST read?

Some things I want to cook: lots of quinoa salad, homemade pizza with lots of fresh toppings (peppers, arugula, tomatoes nomnomnom), Orange Creamsicle French Toast 

On my to-bake list for this spring are: oatmeal lemon creme bars (probably will make these for easter! They're a big hit every time I make them), strawberry cheesecake, Coca-Cola Cupcakes with Salted Peanut Butter Frosting 

What I'll drink: lemon/mint/cucumber water, floral green tea, fresh mint tea, Blogilates Detox water for Craving Control and Beautiful Skin & iced green tea!

Inspiration: crazy bat lady!

I'm growing a slight obsession with bats at the moment. I mean, I've always loved them, but I think they're one of my favorite animals right now. I mean LOOK AT THAT BABY BAT. Isn't it amazing? 

In the future I shall be a crazy bat lady, living in the house you see in the middle of the first collage. Halloween decorations will be out all year long and I'll be baking creepy cute treats while dyeing my hair crazy colors. Yes. That sounds about right.

Oh, and did I mention that it will be fall all year long? With maybe some snow every once a while. Snow made of whipped cream and cotton candy!

The trailer for Palo Alto by Gia Coppola (Sofia is her aunt and Francis Ford is her grandpa) was posted in Rookie's Saturday Links and I loved it so much I immediately checked out her fashion videos and photography. I'm so glad I did. It's all equally, if not even more amazing than the movie trailer!

Making art! It's been a while. I really needed a break from painting/drawing/illustrating, but I feel like the inspiration and motivation is coming back to me now. Just in time for school.

I don't really know what to do with myself today. Probably going to finish reading 'An Abundance of Katherines', get some cute snacks at the Asian grocery store and maybe get some fabric to make big bows! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

You Will Not Hook Up at the Show
This is so recognizable and a great reality check! Oh how many times I went to a concert and thought: 'tonight's the night!' Never happened though. If there's one thing I hate most, it's talking to someone when loud music is playing so that doesn't really help. Hooking up at a show (mostly) just doesn't work for some weird reason.

This Girl's Outfit

Like many other people, I always tend to gravitate to darker colors fashion wise when fall and winter come around. I have that exact same dress (which I hardly ever wear because it's a little short) and OMG, it looks so cool with an underbust corset! I'm all about black, lace and corsets right now so I'm definitely tempted to get a similar corset and copy this look. So cute and pretty.

Haruka Kurebayashi is so incredibly adorable, and I love her style tutorials that Tokyo Fashion has been posting lately. Not even necessarily to try out the tutorials myself, but it just makes me so happy to see her putting on bright make-up and doing her rainbow hair. I want to start a beauty salon with her and give everyone brightly colored hair and they can have lollipops and dance to fun music while the dye is in their hair.

"Awkward" Spring inspiration

Today I finally feel like Spring is coming! It's still in this awkward transition stage though where you can't be one hundred percent sure yet if it's going to be warm enough yet, so I'm still walking around with a scarf and gloves. I found the eyecandy I saved over the past few days is also in this awkward stage and it all went nicely together so I made a little collage...

And just some food for thought: I recommend reading this article on Rookie on using your words to 'get what you want' instead of sitting around and expecting everyone to have psychic powers. I'm often guilty of the latter, and I think a lot of us are, too. I want you to have a lovely day!
